MD, Licensed by the State of Florida, ASCP Certified, MD or DO degree plus approved pathology residency
Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
Residency and, if applicable, fellowship
Must hold a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida and hold active privileges in a facility where any inpatient work is interpreted
Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
Ability to spend enduring hours with keen concentration interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscope
Ability to visually, audibly, and physically perform all functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
Key Performance Responsibilities:
Provide professional anatomic pathology diagnostic services, including interpretation of GI tissue biopsies
Participate in the CAP-regulated QA programs and those established by the Medical Director for the patients’ safety
Provide educational services, conferences, and instruction where required
Comply with continuing medical education requirements for licensure and privilege status
