Hours:

Requirements:

• MD, Licensed by the State of Florida, ASCP Certified, MD or DO degree plus approved pathology residency
• Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
• Residency and, if applicable, fellowship
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida and hold active privileges in a facility where any inpatient work is interpreted

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

• Ability to spend enduring hours with keen concentration interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscope
• Ability to visually, audibly, and physically perform all functions, with or without reasonable accommodation

Key Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide professional anatomic pathology diagnostic services, including interpretation of GI tissue biopsies
• Participate in the CAP-regulated QA programs and those established by the Medical Director for the patients’ safety
• Provide educational services, conferences, and instruction where required
• Comply with continuing medical education requirements for licensure and privilege status
