Dr. Charles Loewe, of Sarasota Center for Digestive Disease, was recently published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. The case focuses on a healthy 24-year-old male who presented with Leiomyosarcomas (LMS), soft tissue tumors that can develop in various organs. Primary LMS of the gastrointestinal tract are considered rare tumors.
The focus? That primary LMS needs to be differentiated from other smooth muscle tumors of the GI tract.
