Florida Digestive Health Specialists is opening a new clinic location, Charlotte Harbor Gastroenterology, to serve the gastrointestinal and liver needs of the Port Charlotte community. The clinic will open February 4, 2021 to patients on Thursdays, 1-5 p.m. In June, the clinic will be open full-time.
Dr. Ravi Kondapalli, a gastroenterologist with more than 20 years of experience, will be seeing patients at Charlotte Harbor Gastroenterology until the clinic’s full-time gastroenterologist starts in June 2021.
“Patients have expressed their desire for more gastroenterology services in the area and we’re honored to fill that role,” said Dr. Kondapalli. “While we’re starting by seeing patients only one day a week, we will be operating full-time by mid-summer.”
Beginning in June 2021, the clinic will be operating Monday through Friday with Dr. Carl Colton, a gastroenterologist from Lancaster, Pa., at the helm.
“Gastrointestinal health plays an important role in a person’s overall physical and mental well-being, and the digestive system is paramount to the body’s disease-fighting ability,” said Dr. Colton. “My job as a gastroenterologist is to ensure my patients maintain a healthy digestive system to live happy, active lives. I’m excited to share my skills with the Port Charlotte community.”
The new clinic is part of Florida Digestive Health Specialists’ 26th clinic location.
