John M. Salmon IV, MD

About

Dr. Salmon spent the first two decades of his career as a pathologist serving central Virginia around his hometown of Lynchburg. In addition to serving as medical director of hospital clinical laboratories, he was the Liaison Physician to the Commission on Cancer for the area’s accredited cancer center, where he developed the lung cancer program and concentrated on GI pathology. In 2020, he left this practice to pursue a growing interest in technology relating to community-based patient navigation and data management, ultimately leading to digital pathology and the implementation of artificial intelligence algorithms in patient care.
