The Florida Digestive Health Specialists Department of Pathology passed its most recent College of American Pathologists (CAP) inspection. CAP one of the most stringent in the nation. With laboratory medicine continually evolving, CAP provides accreditation and proficiency testing to labs, ensuring the highest quality standards.

Our lab is one of more than 20,000 around the world that opts into the CAP testing to ensure continuous improvements and the highest standards of care for patients. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) granted the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program authority that allows a CAP inspection in lieu of a CMS inspection. Additionally, the program retains deemed status with the Joint Commission, United Network for Organ Sharing, the National Marrow Donor Program, the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapies and many US state agencies.
