Dr. Joseph Obi was born and raised in Sarasota, FL. He earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Following this, he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and went on to complete his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Miami. Throughout his training, he has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented at various national conferences. Dr. Obi is an active member of multiple professional organizations and participates in community outreach efforts.
He provides comprehensive care for gastrointestinal and liver diseases, with a particular focus on colorectal cancer screening. Dr. Obi adopts a collaborative approach to patient care, fostering strong, lasting relationships with his patients. He employs the most current clinical guidelines and research, prioritizing his patients’ well-being. Currently, he cares for patients in Bradenton and the surrounding areas.
