A treat-to-target approach for inflammatory bowel disease may lead to better doctor-patient relationships, Drs. David Rubin and Noa Krugliak Cleveland of the University of Chicago Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center wrote in The American Journal of Gastroenterology. They noted this approach may require additional education and some retraining for physicians and other members of a multidisciplinary IBD team.
